Cronulla RSL was proud to welcome former Sutherland Shire Hospital nurses for a heartwarming reunion. These ladies worked under Matron Beryl Bonfield—WWII veteran, founding matron of Sutherland Hospital, and the Cronulla Sub-Branch’s most decorated female member. Known for her fierce dedication, sharp wit, and unique leadership style, Beryl left a lasting legacy still remembered fondly today. The catch-up was filled with memories, laughter, and reflections on her impact.
