Climate and Biodiversity Forum for Sutherland Shire Students

Cronulla RSL was the venue for the 3rd Youth Week Climate and Biodiversity Forum on April 4th, bringing together 65 local and guest high school students to explore climate change, biodiversity, and leadership in environmental action. Hosted by Sutherland Shire Council, this event empowered youth to create change through collaboration, education, and hands-on workshops.

Support Animals Impacted By War this ANZAC Day at Cronulla RSL

Funds raised throughout the day, including the very first bet placed by the Two Up Spinner, will be donated to supporting animals impacted by war, through the following organisations and initiatives Australian War Animal Memorial Organisation (AWAMO) and Working Paws Australia & supporting the wellbeing of local retired Military Working Dogs (MWDs) Manic and Aslan.

Cronulla Chess Club Members Compete in St George Club Championship

Four members of Cronulla Chess Club—John Parissis, Ralph Henly Shaw, Ken Eldridge, and Nihal Scammell—are competing in the St George Club Championship! This ACF & FIDE-rated tournament runs from March 4 – May 20 with 70 players battling it out over 9 rounds. Best of luck to our players!

Commemorating ANZAC Day in Cronulla – A Special Day of Reflection, Remembrance, and Community Spirit 

Join the Cronulla community on April 25th, 2025, as we come together to commemorate ANZAC Day and honour the sacrifices of our Defence Force personnel. Hosted by the Cronulla RSL Sub-Branch, this year’s ceremony marks the 100th anniversary of the Sub-Branch and will feature a historic address by Jenny Weir, the first female Sub-Branch member to speak at the service. With a Dawn Service, HARS Warbird Flypast, and Two Up event, it promises to be a day of solemn reflection and community spirit.
