For the past decade, Trees of Hope has become a cherished Christmas tradition at Cronulla RSL, celebrating the incredible organisations that make our community stronger.

Each year, three community organisations are selected to become the Trees of Hope, decorating a Christmas tree inside Cronulla RSL and sharing their story with thousands of members and visitors throughout the festive season. Members then vote for their favourite Tree of Hope, with all three organisations receiving a share of the campaign's $7,000 prize pool.

As Trees of Hope celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, nominations are now open for local charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations that are making a positive impact across the Sutherland Shire.

If your organisation is creating meaningful change in the community, we'd love to hear about it.

A selection panel will review all nominations and choose the three organisations that will feature as this year's Trees of Hope.

How Trees of Hope Works:

The Trees of Hope campaign is designed to shine a light on the organisations working tirelessly to support our local community.
Here's how it works:

• Community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations submit a nomination.
• A selection panel reviews all nominations and selects three organisations to become this year's Trees of Hope.
• The three selected organisations decorate a Christmas tree inside Cronulla RSL and share their story throughout November and December.
• Cronulla RSL members vote for their favourite Tree of Hope.
• All three featured organisations receive a share of the $7,000 prize pool.

Beyond the funding, Trees of Hope provides a valuable opportunity for organisations to raise awareness, connect with thousands of Club members and visitors, and celebrate the difference they make in our community.
