Southern Cross Art Group Continues to Support Sutherland Hospital
The Southern Cross Art Group Art Show has become a valued annual event at Cronulla RSL since 2022. This year's exhibition once again transformed the Gerrale Room into a allery space, showcasing a diverse collection of artworks from talented local artists, on display for Club members & guests.
Alongside the exhibition, the Southern Cross Art Group (SCAG) continued its long-standing tradition of fundraising through raffle ticket sales. Thanks to the generosity of exhibition visitors and supporters, the group was able to present a cheque for $1,500 to Sutherland Hospital following the 2026 exhibition. Pictured are SCAG Public Officer Noel Carrigg and Sutherland Hospital Community Engagement and Fundraising Manager, Lisa Black, at the cheque presentation.
The donation will be directed towards the hospital's oncology section, helping to support patients and services within the local community. Since the partnership began in 2022, raffle fundraising conducted through the annual exhibitions has contributed more than $4,655 to Sutherland Hospital.
Cronulla RSL is proud to support community groups such as the Southern Cross Art Group, whose passion for the arts is matched by their commitment to giving back. The annual exhibition continues to provide an opportunity for local artists to share their work while making a meaningful contribution to an important local cause.
We thank the Southern Cross Art Group, participating artists and everyone who attended the exhibition and supported the raffle.
