Cronulla RSL Winter Sports Teams Make Their Mark in Finals
It is finals time for Cronulla RSL’s winter sports teams, and there is plenty to celebrate, with teams across football, netball and hockey enjoying strong seasons, including two Cronulla RSL Stingrays teams already crowned Grand Final winners.
The Cronulla RSL Stingrays have had a particularly memorable season, with four teams reaching the finals and two already crowned Grand Final winners. Congratulations to our AM08 and AW04 teams, who both secured their Grand Final victories and can now proudly call themselves premiers.
Our W14B and AM12 teams also made it through to the finals, taking on Lilli Pilli and the Redbacks respectively. While their finals campaigns have now come to an end, reaching the finals is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the commitment and effort shown throughout the season. Our Cronulla RSL netball teams are also enjoying a strong finals campaign in the Sutherland Shire Netball Association competitions. The D1 team progressed straight through last week, while the A1 and C1 teams continue their push for finals success. Over in hockey, the season is also coming down to the wire, with one final regular season game remaining in the Sydney South Hockey Association competition. Our two teams are looking to finish third and fourth, which could set up a repeat of 2025, when the teams faced a play-off at the quarter finals. It has been an exciting winter season for Cronulla RSL’s sporting community, and we are incredibly proud of the players, coaches, volunteers and supporters who have contributed throughout the year. From two football premierships already secured to teams continuing their finals campaigns across football and netball, and hockey heading into its final round, the excitement is far from over.
