New Gym Facility at Cronulla High School
Cronulla High School students and aspiring athletes are set to benefit from a new state-of-the-art gym facility, created through a collaborative effort involving the school, community partners and local supporters.
The new gym has been developed to enhance opportunities for students participating in the school's specialised Surfing and Rugby League programs, while also supporting the introduction of a Fitness VET pathway for senior students. With more than 1,200 students enrolled, the facility represents an important investment in student wellbeing, fitness and sporting development.
The gym will also be utilised by Cronulla Sharks junior representative pathways programs outside school hours, providing young athletes with access to quality training facilities close to home and helping strengthen local sporting pathways.
Cronulla RSL was pleased to support the project through ClubGRANTS funding and sponsorship, contributing towards the purchase of cardio equipment for the facility. While only one part of the overall fit out, this equipment will help ensure students and athletes have access to modern resources to support their training and development.
The project has been made possible through the support of a number of organisations and individuals, including Raw Fitness Equipment, Pro Image Electrical, Scotts Kitchens, the Cronulla High School P&C and many others who contributed their expertise and resources throughout the build.
Cronulla RSL is proud to support initiatives that create opportunities for young people across the Sutherland Shire. The new gym will provide lasting benefits for students, athletes and the broader school community for years to come.
