Sailability volunteers have taken out students from local schools each term throughout the year, creating an experience that has left the students with some wonderful memories. Students from Endeavour SKWAD recently made these hand made cards, to show their appreciation to the volunteers.

A short article appeared in the (then) Cronulla-Sutherland Advocate issue of 5th October 1934 re the Cronulla Sub-Branch. One name in particular stood out.
Surfers Learn Important Skills
Drownings & near drownings in the waters of Cronulla in 2022/2033, have inspired Cronulla RSL to provide local surfers with the opportunity to learn crucial rescue skills through Surfers Rescue 247, that could ultimately save a life.
Supporting the EVE Project
Cronulla RSL were thrilled to support Hopefield’s EVE project, by donating the use of the Club’s courtesy bus, to transport participants to the South Coast for equine Therapy. Thanks to Motoring Enthusiasts Group President John the women were able to participate in activities with the organisation saving thousands in transport costs.

Runners Come Together for (Mo)re Than A Run
The wet weather didn’t damper the spirits of local running clubs, who ventured out in Cronulla on the 25th November, to run 60km, 30km or 10km in support of Movember & Mens Health for (Mo)re than a run.
Volkswagen Electrifies Cronulla’s 2023 Surfmasters Competition
In October, the Surfing NSW Volkswagen Cronulla Surf Masters Event was back in a big way this year, as the event space settled into the heart of Cronulla Beach for a cracking day of surfing and activities. The event was proudly supported by Cronulla RSL.
Chamber Cronulla of Commerce: Mall Update
The Cronulla Chamber of Commerce has been working hard with the local businesses while the contractors engaged by Council upgrade the northern end of Cronulla Street. The works are due to cease at the end of November with all construction works, fencing and materials cleaned from the area to ensure the wider community can enjoy, shop and eat in a gentrified high street.
ClubGRANTS help support local women.
Through the ClubGRANTS program, Cronulla RSL have been able to support Wondering Women, to provide programs aimed at assisting mental health, well-being and providing essential life skills.

Remembrance Day
On Saturday 11th November, the Cronulla RSL Sub-Branch held a commemorative service at Cronulla Park.
At 11am on 11 November 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare. A call for an armistice (suspension of fighting) was made in order to secure a peace settlement.
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we pause to honour the sacrifice of service personnel who have fought and died in war, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
Beach Experience Made Possible.
Through the ClubGRANTS program, Cronulla RSL were able to assist Skillz4me deliver an inclusive program, providing access to beach activities for families of children with a disability.
Australian Animal Aid Update
Cronulla RSL support animals that are impacted by War, through the Australian Animal Aid, a Sub-branch of War Animal Memorial Organisation. Recently, Australian Animal Aid returned to help the people and animals of the Ukraine. Here is their report.
