Run for Veterans, Stand Together: Sign Up for the Weight of War Run Cronulla

At Cronulla RSL, we are proud to support the Weight of War Run 2025 happening in Cronulla on Saturday 6th December. Starting & finishing at Cronulla RSL, this is a unique event that is so much more than a charity fun run. It’s an opportunity for our community to come together, honour our veterans, and actively fight the veteran suicide crisis head-on.

This grassroots movement brings veterans, families, and civilians together to stand shoulder-to-shoulder, carrying the invisible weight that so many of our service members bear every day. It’s a shared physical challenge, a run 21km, 10km, 5km or 1km, where participants not only strengthen community bonds but also raise critical funds for programs that give veterans the tools they need to thrive after service, including sponsoring places on the Survive to Thrive Nation (STTN) Program.

Participants can:

  • Run individually or as a team, choosing from multiple distances (free)

  • Wear the 10kg weighted vest & Budgy Smugglers to symbolically carry the weight of our veterans (optional)

  • Support or sponsor a runner or a team, even without running

This is more than a run, it’s a movement to honour the fallen, support the living, and create a tangible, lasting impact on the lives of our veterans.

Join us at Cronulla, take on the challenge, and reconnect with your community.

Saturday 6th December - 11am, start & finish @ Cronulla RSL
