War Animal Day Service in Cronulla
This year, Cronulla RSL & Cronulla RSL Sub-Branch proudly commemorates War Animal Day on Saturday 21st February, a day to honour the incredible contribution and sacrifice of animals who served alongside our Australian Defence Forces. From the loyal horses and mules on the battlefields to the courageous dogs and carrier pigeons, these animals played vital roles in times of conflict, often risking their lives to support soldiers and communities alike.
At Cronulla, we recognise that their service is more than history, it is a story of bravery, loyalty, and unwavering dedication. Our War Animal Day service will bring together the community to pay tribute, reflect, and celebrate these remarkable animals whose actions have saved lives and inspired generations.
We encourage members, families, and visitors to join us in remembering these unsung heroes and to learn more about the roles animals played in Australia's military history. Together, we honour their legacy and ensure their stories continue to be shared for years to come.
