Trees of Hope Returns to Cronulla RSL
The festive season has officially arrived at Cronulla RSL as the Trees of Hope campaign lights up the Club once again and now, it’s the Club’s member’s turn to help decide which local cause will take home the top prize.
Three beautifully decorated Christmas trees have been installed in the Club’s reception, each one representing a community initiative making a real impact in the Sutherland Shire.
Surfers Rescue 247: Surfers Rescue 24/7 is a community safety initiative designed to equip surfers across New South Wales with vital CPR and board rescue skills.
LifeUnleased - Integra Service Dogs: LifeUnleashed supports Veterans and First Responders facing PTSD and related mental health challenges from their service. Their incredible dogs help these individuals and their families lead happier, fuller lives.
Platform 9 - Kingsway Care: Platform Nine is a community of compassion which exists to provide temporary and crisis accommodation for individuals or families who have survived domestic violence or been impacted by homelessness.
Voting is open until 14 December, and members are encouraged to participate.
Each Monday during the competition period, financial members can collect their weekly voting ticket at the Members Kiosk in reception. Tickets can then be placed in the barrel of their favourite tree, casting a vote for the program they wish to support.
Each vote not only helps the nominated organisation move closer to winning but also enters the voter into a draw to win a member prize, a Cronulla RSL Gift Card, valued at $500 (terms and conditions apply).
Prize Pool for Participating Organisations:
🥇 1st Place: $3,500
🥈 2nd Place: $2,500
🥉 3rd Place: $1,000
“By voting, our members are giving back to people and programs doing life-changing work in our local area.” said Nathan Whiteside, Cronulla RSL CEO.
The program receiving the most votes will be crowned the 2025 Tree of Hope Winner on 15 December.
