Cronulla RSL Supports Junior Football Development Through ClubGRANTS Funding

During the 2025/2026 ClubGRANTS year, Cronulla RSL proudly supported the Cronulla RSL Football Club through ClubGRANTS Category 2 funding, helping strengthen grassroots football opportunities within the local community.

The funding supported the delivery of a structured Skills Academy program for junior players, creating accessible development opportunities focused on skill-building, confidence, participation, and connection. The program provided young players with the chance to learn in a supportive environment while forming friendships and building stronger ties to the club. Families responded positively to the initiative, highlighting the strong demand for local, community-based development pathways.

One parent shared that their Under 8 daughter “had a great time and learnt some new skills which she has been practising every day”, while also enjoying the opportunity to make new friends through the program.

Funding also enabled the purchase of new regulation-size football goals, ensuring the club remains compliant with football requirements while improving safety and operational efficiency for volunteers. The lighter-weight design has made setup and pack-down safer and easier to manage.

Together, these initiatives have strengthened the club’s capacity to deliver inclusive and high-quality football programs, supporting player retention, volunteer wellbeing, and long-term community participation in sport.

ClubGRANTS scheme is a shared State Government-Club Industry program, funded by a 2.25% gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government to those registered clubs with gaming machine profits in excess of $1 million per annum. https://www.clubgrants.com.au/
