Cronulla RSL to Host Powerful Screening of Bravery & Betrayal: The True Story of the Aussie S.A.S. in Afghanistan
At Cronulla RSL, we are deeply honoured to host the New South Wales screening of Bravery & Betrayal—a powerful, unflinching documentary sharing the untold story of Australia's elite soldiers who served in the War on Terror.
Presented by Wandering Warriors, this important screening is a rare and moving insight into the experiences of the men and women of the Australian Special Air Service (S.A.S.) who served in Afghanistan and Iraq following the events of 9/11. Told in their own words—and those of their families, leaders, and allies—Bravery & Betrayal is a raw and respectful tribute to the courage, service, and sacrifice of our nation’s most highly trained warriors.
The evening will commence at 6:00 PM with the full screening of Bravery & Betrayal, followed by a special Q&A session at 8:00 PM featuring veterans who will share their personal reflections and insights.
Through exclusive interviews—some never before seen—with soldiers, officers, and even former Prime Ministers Kevin Rudd, John Howard, and Tony Abbott, this documentary challenges the headlines and honours the human stories behind the service.
More than a film, Bravery & Betrayal is a call to acknowledge the mental, emotional, and physical toll of combat, not just on the soldiers but on the families left behind. It is a testament to resilience—and a reminder that support for our veterans does not end when the battle is over.
Tickets for the event are available now, with a portion of proceeds supporting veteran health services. Donations to support the cause can also be made via the official Bravery & Betrayal website.
We are proud to provide a space where these stories can be told, heard, and remembered.
