Softball is a great team sport. You can play in kids/juniors, women's and mixed teams both socially and competitively. 

Softball offers something for everyone. It offers opportunities to play, coach, score, umpire, spectate, manage teams and facilities, run events or even volunteer in some other capacity.

In Australia, Softball is played in Olympic standard facilities, on community sports grounds, in public parks and on patches of dirt in remote outback communities. 

Our softball competition runs every Saturday during summer.

  • Teeball & Modball

    Teeball & Modball

    Teeball is a fun introduction to softball for children aged 6-10. The ball, which is softer and smaller than a normal softball is hit off a tee.

    Teeball is designed for fun and to learn the skills while everyone gets to participate. Players are to be under 10 as at 31 December in the year the competition commences.

    A Teeball game is one hour and consists of everyone in the team batting and fielding. The batting team completes an innings when 3 outs are made or a certain amount of runs have been scored, whichever occurs first. All players shall play on offence/batting and defence/fielding (equally) in every game, however, only nine players are permitted on the field at any one time. The ball is not pitched in Teeball instead it is batted from a Tee.

  • Juniors

    Juniors

    Modball is a modified game.
    It has a bit of Teeball and a bit of softball.

    The game is one hour and 15 mins

    There is now a pitcher and the children still use the tee to hit if they receive 4 balls.

    Players can only pitch or catch for 2 innings giving everyone who wants a turn a chance.

    Everyone still gets a turn to field and bat throughout the whole game. This is a nice first step or introduction into softball.
