Sutherland Shire Council’s Australia Day Long Weekend program offers a vibrant mix of community-led reflection, celebration and fun across the Shire. Running from Saturday 24 January through Monday 26 January, the program features:
a respectful Sunset Cultural Ceremony at Burnum Burnum Sanctuary honouring First Nations stories and culture
free outdoor Cinema Under the Stars screenings in Cronulla, Menai and Engadine
beachside concerts including the Cronulla Vibes event and the Australia Day Concert and Fireworks on Cronulla Beach with headline performances by Dragon and Furnace And The Fundamentals, plus pool parties and family activities.
The schedule reflects the Australia Day Council’s theme of Reflect, Respect, Celebrate, inviting locals and visitors alike to engage in meaningful cultural experiences as well as enjoy great entertainment throughout the long weekend
